EasyMalwareBlocker protects your computer immediately after the program has been installed and started, out-of-the-box! There is no need to answer any cryptical questions in a setup session like in other Internet Security Programs*.

*This only applies to customers who newly install or re-install their XP Operating System (OS). Customers who do NOT want to re-install their OS will have to answer a few questions but only if they have some exotic programs installed. (NO questions are asked if you only have installed one ore more of the around 40 most common and popular programs.)

One Stop Shop! Combines two way Firewall, efficient File System Protection and System Check Utilities!

For maximum protection of your computer system not only one but two different kernel drivers have been implemented.

- The File System Monitor prevents writing of any executable files to the File System. It is most useful when some websites clandestinely try to install malware of any kind (including rootkits) without anyone being aware, let alone with the consent of the System Administrator (but fail !!! because EasyMalwareBlocker indeed protects the computers in your company).

- The Network System Monitor's (also called "Firewall") main job is to prevent that any important data is being transmitted over the Internet (and the (W)LAN network) without the explicit consent of the employee.

On first sight it may sound contradictionary that it was necessary to implement a Network System Monitor (Incoming Firewall) as malware is being blocked by the File System Monitor.
On a computer system where the Operating System was NOT newly installed or reinstalled some existing installed malware programs may try to clandestinely transmit confidential data over the Internet. If any non Microsoft application tries to send any kind of data over the Internet for the first time a message pops up in which you are asked for permission. You can block or allow this request.

- EasyMalwareBlocker also provides powerful tools to show the current state of your computer and to verify its own operation.
- - Startup Programs: This utility detects and lists any kind of currently existing startup programs - and separately, in another list - newly added startup programs in typically less than 3 seconds.
- - Compare Executable Files: This utility is provided to verify the operation of EasyMalwareBlocker itself. It detects and shows newly written or deleted executable files in typically less than 3 minutes. Checking for modified files typically takes 20 .. 60 minutes*. Computer Administators can see if Ad- and/or Spyware, viruses, worms, etc, has/have been installed, but that should never have happened when the File System Monitor has always been in either Black- or Whitelist Mode.

Easy as acb to Use

For employees nothing changes after EasyMalwareBlocker has been installed. Most if not all existing programs can be used the same way as before.
Computer Administrators can easily taylor the new behaviour of each computer in terms of accepted files and open ports according to the needs of the company. A good understanding of how computers are organized is required.
Microsoft and leading Computer Magazines have recommendations comprising of umteen steps to protect computers.

Save a lot of unproductive time!

The computers in your company are protected by default against programs (most often malware) which try to install themselves clandestinely over the Internet. Optionally, employees are NOT allowed to install programs by other means (see next feature).
On a fully protected system therefore there is NO need to regularly run time consuming Anti Virus, Anti Spyware Programs, etc, anymore as writing any kind of malware on the File System is prevented in the first place. Employees are NOT allowed to install new programs (or any other files)

Employees are NOT allowed to install programs they deliberately download from the Internet by default. In addition files with user selectable and defineable file extensions can be blocked from downloading, eg *.mp3, *.avi, *.mpg, etc.
Installing new programs by employees from any other source (CD/DVD, USB Flash Drive, Floppy Diskette) can be prevented at a single click on a button. In addition files with user selectable and defineable file extensions can be blocked from copying, eg *.mp3, *.avi, *.mpg, etc.

Safe as a Swiss Bank

Unlike in other computers which are "protected" by competitor's Internet Security Suites - EasyMalwareBlocker does NOT allow malware to clandestinely install itself in the first place, therefore these kind of programs do NOT have to be searched and removed afterwards. With EasyMalwareBlocker Malware can not, for instance, delete classified files before this kind of software is finally detected and removed.

A password is required to get access to the administrative parts of both Website Access Control and File System Monitor. Access is denied to EasyMalwareBlocker's own folders which contain the files with sensitive data and can therefore NOT be manipulated. Working in 'Save Mode' already offers full protection so that even your computer savvy employees can NOT circumvent the imposed restrictions.
EasyMalwareBlocker also provides tools to verify its own operation as stated above.

Install / Uninstall Mode

Installing new programs is still possible. A password has to be entered to get access to a form on which System Administrators can temporiliy change the mode to 'Install/Uninstall' in which the protective part of EasyMalwareBlocker is disabled.
After returning back to the normal protective mode EasyMalwareBlocker performs a quick system check and tells you what kind of software has been installed like drivers, Browser Helper Objects, etc.

Outgoing Firewall

Protection of Classified Data: EasyMalwareBlocker can also be set up that only predefinded websites are allowed to be visited by employees. Uploading data to any site can also be blocked in order to prevent stealing classified data over the Internet.

Programs AND modules involved in accessing the Internet are being controlled by EMB.

(The Firewall included in Microsoft's Windows XP does NOT have a good outgoing traffic protection... It can only detect programs which send data, but modules which can do so too are simply ignored.)

Incoming Firewall

EasyMalwareBlocker blocks unnecessarily listening ports so malware like viruses, adware, spyware, trojans, worms, rootkits, etc can NOT clandestinely install themselves on your computer, most often without your consent or knowledge.

Website Access Control including:

- Predefined genres: Sports and Porn

- Customer defined wordlist (If any word listed is found in a website it will be blocked)

- Customer defined whitelist (URLs in that list will always be correctly displayed)

- Customer defined blacklist (URLs in that list will always be blocked)

- Fully customizable allowed computer- and Internet access times (maximum time and 3 time frames)

Protection of Classified Data: Access to any USB Memory Devices and CD/DVD Drive can easily be blocked

If stealing (classified) data by employees is a problem in your company blocking access to USB Memory Devices like USB Flash Drives or External Hard Disk Drives (without mechanically glueing off USB connectors...) and CD/DVD Readers/Writers or Floppy Drives can be disabled by just clicking one single button. (All NON Memory USB Devices like printers, scanners, modems, mice and keyboards (cable and wireless types), gamesticks, etc still work normally on all USB Ports.)
Protection against uploading classified data over the Internet has already been mentioned in section 'Outgoing Firewall'.

Anti Dialer, Anti Backdoor and Anti Hijacking Protection included

- On ordinary 33k/56k Modem connections EMB protects you from being connected to (expensive) providers of dubious content.

- Your computer can NOT be remotely controlled by other computers without your explicit consent. (In case you need help from a knowledgeable friend you can still use that feature.)

- Your Microsoft Internet Browser is protected from being hi-jacked to eg an unwanted commercial site every time you launch any of the 3 most common browsers.

Extensive and fast System Check

EasyMalMareBlocker also provides sophisticated utilities for System Administrators who have a password to show the current state of the computer of the employees. And to verify the proper functioning of EasyMalwareBlocker too!

- 1) Lists all most important Startup Programs and Drivers that are loaded and started at Boot Time. So called 'Browser Helper Objects' (BHO) and objects started from other non-standard locations in the Registry are also shown, including a short description about the start location. With a single click any kind of these different types of programs can be disabled (and re-enabled).

- 2) Unlike the Windows Taskmanager, EasyMalwareBlocker lists all currently running tasks, including the ones who try to hide themselves such as rootkits.

- 3) After a new program has been installed in 'Install/Uninstall' mode EasyMalwareBlocker will tell in typically less than 3 seconds whether critical components like drivers, BHOs and other objects have been installed so that corrective action can be taken if necessary.

- 4) Another handy feature is a built-in utility that compares the current list of most types of executable files with a reference file list which was created at an earlier time when the computer certainly was UN-infected by malware, so experts can see what has to be done to get rid of new or modified items if the need arises*.

- 5) There is another surprise feature we don't tell you about here. It's very useful if you want to know whether malware has indeed been blocked or not. You have got to find out yourself...*

*These utilities are working blazingly fast and are done in typically 3 minutes or less (C:\ partition only), except 4) for 'Modified' mode. Compare that to common Ad- and Spyware Removal Tools which usually take about 1 hour or more to scan a computer system!

Self Protection

- Should any malware program "kill" EasyMalwareBlocker or the system unloads it due to a severe error a messagebox pops up to tell you that EasyMalwareBlocker is no longer running. You have the option to immediately restart it.

- The Security Monitor also warns you every time a browser is launched and EasyMalwareBlocker is either not running or in 'Disabled' or 'Install' mode, also with an option to restart it or to change the FSM Mode.

Supports Windows XP Updates

There is no need to download and install Microsoft's Windows Operating System Security Updates when EasyMalwareBlocker is running all the time (default). However, if you feel safer, even these security updates are supported and new executable files are also automatically added to our Network Reference List (and Executable Files List too) in order to prevent difficult to understand questions when one of these modified files is involved in accessing the Internet for the first time.

EasyMalwareBlocker itself requires hardly any updates

Handling updates of Reference Files is done in the background and downloading them takes very little time. Changes take place immediately and automatically (you do NOT have to either install them or to reboot the computer).
However, new versions of the program or parts thereof have to be downloaded and installed manually.

Some More Features (for Geeks only)

- The Network Driver tries hard to pass all "leaktests".

- Network Ports can be configured individually (Skype, etc).

- Your computer is even protected while booting up and shooting down.

- The 'Root' Section of the registry is permanently monitored for new entries and changes. If normally harmless files are turned into monsters EasyMalwareBlocker will immediately warn you.

- EasyMalwareBlocker not only blocks malware, it can also remove this kind of files with a built-in tool, even in case they cannot be deleted when the system is up and running. However, only experts are supposed to use that tool.
